Weather in Istria in April: Temperature, Sea & Tips
April brings spring to southern Istria. Highs are usually 17 to 18 °C, and with around seven hours of sunshine a day it becomes really pleasant outdoors. At about 14 °C the sea is still fresh – a quick dip is more of a dare. Flowering season begins at Cape Kamenjak: the peninsula is known for around 30 species of orchid. Restaurants, beach bars and excursion operators gradually open for the season, and Pula is often already busier around Easter. Even so, it stays relaxed, and prices are lower than in summer. Now and then a low brings a rainy day, but the light afterwards is especially clear. April is ideal for hiking and cycling.
