Weather in Istria in February: Temperature, Sea & Tips
In February southern Istria is still in hibernation, but the days are getting noticeably longer – by the middle of the month you already have more than ten hours of daylight. Highs are usually around 11 °C, and at about 11 °C the sea is at its coldest of the whole year. Sunny, still days alternate with grey and rainy ones, and the bora blows from time to time. Many restaurants and beach bars in Pomer, Medulin and Premantura are still closed, but you can shop as normal. If you come now, you are looking for peace and quiet: long walks along the coast, fresh air and sights without the crowds. Cape Kamenjak is silent at this time of year, and according to travel guides, access for cars is free outside the season. In the evening, the wood-burning oven keeps you warm.
